Salmon Evolution is proud to be a dedicated sponsor of the educational program called ‘Ocean Day,’ in partnership with Hustadvika municipality. Through this collaboration, we are providing a unique opportunity for all 5th-grade students residing south of the Molde fjord to participate in ‘Ocean Day’ in Aalesund.

‘Ocean Day’ experience
This program has been thoughtfully designed to offer 5th-grade students an enriching educational experience at Atlanterhavsparken in Aalesund, where they can intimately engage with marine life and develop a deeper understanding of ocean ecosystems.
The ‘Ocean Day’ experience is filled with activities that we believe will leave a lasting impression on these young minds. Students will have the opportunity to witness feeding shows, create their own lunches at the Breisundet Food Workshop, explore starfish, and even try their hand at catching shore crabs in the activity room. They’ll also have the chance to explore the fascinating exhibitions and aquariums at the science center.
As a part of this initiative, the 5th graders will also visit Storfjord Visitor Center, which showcases the latest innovations and developments in aquaculture and fish farming, contributing to their overall understanding of the industry.
Meaningful contribution
At Salmon Evolution, we see this collaboration as an opportunity to give back to the local community and inspire the next generation’s interest in the ocean and marine life. We firmly believe that the future holds great potential for careers in the maritime sector, and by imparting knowledge and fostering curiosity about the sea, we hope to make a meaningful contribution to the region.
Our goal is not only to educate but also to encourage a greater appreciation for seafood and its role in sustainable food production. With the world’s protein needs set to double by 2050, it’s essential that we equip young minds with the knowledge and passion to be part of the solution.
We are proud to be part of this initiative, and we are committed to supporting programs like ‘Ocean Day’ that promote environmental awareness, education, and community engagement.
